A sleepy lazy day...

When I left work yesterday my boss told me to call in the morning instead of just coming into the shop, which usually means that there is no work. This always comes as a relief and a nuisance at the same time. I got to sleep in, a little bit anyway, which is always nice, but I would rather have a 40 hour check. When I stay home for the day Rachel usually assumes that it means she gets to sleep in and that I will get up with the kids, which is usually what happens, including today. But, once she got up for her work day, I hit the bed again.

Now I'm up, and have been for a while. I went with Rachel to drop Daniel off at school and then we went grocery shopping. Now I'm sitting in front of the computer with a long list of things I could do, but I don't really feel like doing any of them, and some of them are things I really need to do...

I have been spending more time lately doing wood working projects, well at least 2 projects anyway. If any of you know me well, you know I always say I can't cut a board straight with a table saw. I don;t know what it is, but I have really been wanting to overcome this lately. Last night I finally got started on building some hinged boxes with Will and Clayton. The boxes are very crooked and somewhat unsightly, but they don't care because they got to play with tools and do it themselves. I'm glad they enjoyed it, it was fun for all of us. Here are a few pics.
The boys should be home from school soon, we will probably do some last min. work on the boxes as soon as their homework is done. I should pick up my guitar today. I should also do some planning for the Halloween show I have coming up. I probably will not do either, well who knows, maybe I will...
